It’s been an emotional roller coaster for the residents of Seattle-Tacoma. Everyday we hear multiple reports of shootings, stabbings, murders and more. It’s hard to feel empowered during these times, yet the two cities have managed to come together to raise their voices against violent crimes.

On Sunday, May 25th, #CEASEFIRESeattle honored not only military fallen soldiers, but those who have fallen due to senseless deaths in our streets as well. Joined by Community Members, Civil Rights Activists and Indie Artists willing to spend their holiday weekend bringing awareness to a much needed conversation. How do you take your streets back? Some say by occupying them. And, therefore we did just that!!!

Aubrey comes to Seattle to support 49ers!

Yea, for me it was 1 of those days. Been in the house all weekend, a lil cabin fever w/ your team (in this case, mine is the Seahawks) kicks ass and plus, you get a surprise sitter…Of course, you’re trying to get out to celebrate at what’s known to be their regular home game hangout…As a matter of fact, it seems to be the perfect spot to do so…

Since we were finally aired PRIME TIME on NBC, it took me longer than I thought to get out the house. Wondering if I should even bother, then my girl reminds me it’s at the “affluent” spot in Bellevue (Mirror/Munchbar) and, I should make it happen..

I’ve been there before, and I’ve never had any issues. Had a great time just recently, so man, “I’m wit it”, I tell her. I promise you it was creeping on 1:30am and I’m hoping to bat eyes at a holiday last call. Get to the 2nd level of parking and it’s like a movie scene where the stairwells are pouring out will well dressed people running for their lives. Now stuck, w/ Bellevue police coming in 1, 2, 3, 4, cars deep, we find out that there has been shooting in the club and at least 2 were seriously hit. Watching police run up w/ guns drawn, made the scene that much more intense.

Now home, I hear 1 who may have lost his life, is Deshawn Miller of Seattle, WA, and 3 were injured. NOT CONFIRMED I may add, but damn it’s so close to home. Facebook & Twitter timelines are in news feed panic, filled w/ drunken madness trying to make sense of what supposed to have been a perfect Christmas Eve-Eve night…I see Reality TV Star Aubrey O’Day tweeting over a 2-3hr span “Pop That Pussy”, I got balls, dancing on Seahawks VIP tables in a 49ers jersey, to “I’ve never been in a situation like this before in my life…” Although, she tweeted a man was shot in front of her, witnesses inside claim SHE WAS NOWHERE NEAR THE SHOOTING…Please, Aubrey don’t come to Bellevue/Seattle hoping to restart your career!!!

All I know is this was way unexpected. Sad to say the least. No major headliners to blame. Just “The Town’s” celebs. So, when it boils down to it, we can only blame ourselves. Man, I know it’s been along time since we’ve felt this good about our sports teams, but damn, to let ego flow w/ drinks that cause loss of life is ridiculous at this stage.

This by far has no reflection on our players. Seahawks you laid it all on the line today, while keeping your composure when San Francisco did below the belt wrestling moves and sideways street fighting techniques on the field , you sure deserved to be able to toast it up in your home town w/o being subjected to gunfire.

My prayers are w/ everyone who experienced this experience tonight…I’ll keep you updated on motive and official names of the injured and deceased.
